News and events from the Annapolis schooner, Woodwind

Woodwind II Sails to Hollywood! Actually,
Hollywood came to the Eastern Shore of Maryland for the filming
of the romantic comedy, "The Wedding Crashers"
starring Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Christopher Walken,
Rachael McAdams and Jane Seymour. In the movie, Wilson and Vaughn
are friends that decide the best way to meet women is to crash high
society weddings. One of the weddings they crash is the daughter
of the Treasury Secretary, played by Christopher Walken, where they
fall for his other two daughters. He invites them to go sailing
on his gorgeous sailing yacht, played by our lovely- Woodwind II.
So
we spent 4 to 5 days in May, early June 2004 filming a
couple of scenes with the cast and cameramen, soundmen, make-up
artists, directors and marine coordinators onboard (over 25 people
in total). The helicopter shots of us sailing are amazing! We have
terrific stories, great photos (we have these photos aboard, but
we can't display them on the web), and our "Woodwind"
poster autographed by the cast and crew! To visit the website and
