USS Gettysburg visits Annapolis over Memorial Day Weekend

USS Gettysburg visits Annapolis over Memorial Day Weekend

It was a busy day in Annapolis today, Memorial weekend and Commissioning week.  Woodwind II sailed with several Midshipmen due to graduate this Tuesday.  Many congratulations to them, what an accomplishment!  We took them and their families for a great view of the Navy Cruiser Gettysburg, anchored off of Annapolis.

The crew kept busy today looking out for holiday boat traffic.  We made up a game, similar to Slugbug.  In the nautical world it’s fairly gauche to be underway with fenders hanging overboard.  Each fender spotted is worth 1 point.  The final score: Megan 0, Glenn 1, Aubrei 4, and Mike 6.  Stow those fenders, don’t be that boat!!
