Sailing up Weems Creek on Schooner Woodwind
Woodwind II celebrated the sunset ghosting through Weems Creek. I was thankful for the idyllic presence of two great blue herons. They took the edge off the sight of the algae bloom that has cursed Spa Creek lately. If you live in the Chesapeake watershed, please do your part. Save the Bay.

Captain Mike is a Chesapeake native and a resident of South Baltimore. He joined the Woodwind in 2010, after running traditional Chesapeake work boats focused on outdoor experiential education. Mike has managed sailboat fleets for a community sailing center in Baltimore City and a bareboat charter company in Annapolis.
